Swam here last week with my Mum. Looked lovely. Clean toilets but alas seemed some people had used the lake. During my one length I saw 4 brown floating lumps. Hoped my eyes deceived me but my Mum saw the same and got out immediately. We were both unwell for the next 2 days. I don't think it was a coincidence. I appreciate no-one else has reported similar in other reviews
Great little beach on a lake. Designated area for swimming / paddling as well as kayak & paddleboard hire. Free parking, decent little cafe doing a range of snacks and drinks. Got busy in the afternoon, but was the first Sunday of August and the hottest day of the year so no surprise there!
What a great camping! If you're looking for a place to stay then go here, the owner and his staff are super friendly, new toilets and showers, very reasonably price, great food, big lake only 700m away. If you need a break from city's and love nature walks with or without dogs then this camping is a must, highly highly recommended, if I could I would give it 6 stars!!!
Great place. Artificial beach with lifeguard in season, two restrained licenced cafes, canoe hire, free parking, campsite and holiday lodges. Fishing is free and some nice walks. Villefranche de Lonchat is five minutes away by car. A really nice afternoon can be had here just dozing in a deckchair - but bring your own!
Clean, natural water.... bloody cold on 26th December, but very funny in a British sort of way.

A great day out for everyone.
This lake is extremely popular, and for a good reason!
It has clean soft sand. It has swimming areas. It has shady trees. It has fishing. It has canoes etc. for messing about on the water. Tennis courts. Horse-riding. Other activities such as Archery.
Bars, restaurants, lavatories. The lot!
Summer 2016 entrance was still free, although many of the activities are paid-for, of course. The Departement de la Dordogne took it over in 2013 and is improving a number of features, including disabled access and improved sanitation.
Very crowded in mid summer, especially at weekends. Am early morning visit then off away for lunch might be best then.

Cool !
Plenty of carp and you can fish the night! 🐳🐳🐳 …
